online at the following link:  bit.ly/ASDParentSurvey18

on paper - copies are available in the main office of any school or at the Superintendent's office.

If you would like assistance with the survey, please contact your child's teacher or building principal.  Thank you.

Fairview’s Spread the Word to End the Word Week

March 5-9, 2018

(Brought to you by Fairview’s Civil Rights Team, Student Council and Project UNIFY)

All week long, students and staff will have the opportunity to make a pledge to not use the words “retard” or “retarded” to describe things that they dislike.  Use of those words hurt individuals with intellectual disabilities and those who care for them.  Classes will be talking, reading and viewing videos that help create an understanding and appreciation of those with intellectual disabilities.

Tuesday through Friday, students who made the pledge will have the chance to win Spread the Word to End the Word prizes donated by Student Council.

Did you know that Fairview has 24 students who participate in Special Olympics?  Last year, we also had 92 partner students from 5th and 6th grade, without disabilities, who participated as partners with our Special Olympians, in Project UNIFY.

Tuesday is Crazy Sock Day to benefit Special Olympics Maine!

  • Get creative and wear your craziest socks and make a $1 donation to Special Olympics Maine.
  • Lisa Bird from Special Olympics Maine will be visiting with students in grades 3-6.

On Friday, classes will finish and present their #RESPECT theme classroom doors.

Fairview School is a safe and welcoming place for everyone!
